Move & Groove Facilitator

TESSA CANCIENNE

Tessa is passionate about keeping seniors moving and having fun regardless of age or abilities. These weekly classes offer seniors and those with limited mobility a unique opportunity to focus on stretching, breath work, and building body awareness, mobility, and strength while nurturing interpersonal skills and creativity through a mostly seated dance and music experience. Participants often report feeling energized, uplifted, stronger, and happy after attending one of her classes.

I will assist any Veteran, spouse or widow of a Veteran who is eligible for Veterans Benefits. There are two types of Pensions for Aid and Attendance. The first is for Veterans with low income and no assets. the second type is for Veterans with high income and disposable assets. These claims require a rating and special documentation. TIFFANY CUTBIRTH

Tiffany began her career as an RN, graduating from Seton Hall University in 1995. As an RN, she practiced in multiple settings, including internal medicine, school nursing, and home health. Her experiences within the geriatric community as a home health nurse inspired her to complete her Master’s in Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner, where she graduated from The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston in 2011. She began her Nurse Practitioner career in an office setting for a Family Practice but quickly turned her focus towards providing healthcare services for the geriatric homebound population, a vastly underserved population in great need of alternative care solutions. In 2015, Tiffany decided to create her own practice which enabled her to provide comprehensive care coordination for this critical patient population and their families.

Today, Tiffany owns and operates The Lady with the Lamp where she and her team of Nurse Practitioners and staff continue to provide care for their homebound patients. Her business is located in Kingwood, TX and serves patients in Kingwood, Humble, Atascocita, Spring, The Woodlands, Conroe, and Porter areas with plans for additional expansion in 2017.

Sonia Bassett

Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner

SONIA BASSETT

Sonia is certified as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner. She began her nursing career in 2006 and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana University in 2014. She enjoyed several fulfilling years at the bedside in various specialties including trauma, orthopedics, and neurological care. In addition to her bedside experience, Sonia worked as a home health nurse for six years. For many years she observed a lack of services for the underserved home-bound community. It was at this time she decided to pursue her Master of Science in Nursing which she earned from The University of Texas Health Science Center in 2019 while working as an Infection Preventionist. Today Sonia works at The Lady with the Lamp with a team of Nurse Practitioners providing care for patients in their homes.
