Memory Care Services
What is Memory Care?
Memory care at Unlimited Care Cottages is thoughtfully designed to address the unique challenges faced by individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. While sharing foundational elements with traditional assisted living—such as assistance with daily tasks, meal preparation, and medication management—our approach integrates specialized safety protocols, therapeutic environments, and evidence-based programming tailored to support cognitive health and emotional well-being.
A Secure, Calming Environment
Dementia often causes disorientation, anxiety, and wandering tendencies. To mitigate these challenges, our cottages prioritize safety through features like:
- Controlled access points and enclosed outdoor spaces to prevent unsafe wandering while allowing freedom to explore.
- Non-slip flooring, clear pathways, and visual cues to reduce fall risks and spatial confusion.
- Homelike layouts with familiar furnishings, soft lighting, and muted color palettes to create soothing, low stimulus atmosphere.
Personalized living spaces allow residents to surround themselves with cherished belongings, such as family photos or heirlooms, fostering a sense of continuity and comfort.
